Troy and Niki bring over 25 years of dog training, and socialization experience to TNT Labs and Kennel. Their background in gun dog training and competition show in the quality of a well trained hunting and house companion.  

Along with producing a great hunting or competitive dog, Troy has a special skill of working with the animal's owner to pass on the knowledge of handling their dog and getting the most out of them.

Persistence, patience, understanding and the ability to read a dog,  are the qualities needed to gain the trust and respect of an animal. Not all dogs are the same and Troy will change the type of program to fit the individual animal, whether that may be a pointer breed or retriever.

When Troy is not training, you will find him competing at AKC,UKC,SRS or NAHRA Hunt Test events and or AKC field trials with their own loyal retrievers and client dogs.  We are also members of multiple retriever clubs throughout Minnesota. Troy also guides for an outfitter in South Dakota so client dogs along with our own get a huge amount of exposure if needed.  As of July 27,2016 Troy will no longer be training dogs for others, allowing more family time and time for TNT owned dogs.  Many thanks to all of those who have been clients in the past years.
